While his friends played sports or studied science, Adam paid more attention to color, texture, and shape. He was fascinated by how a simplehaircut or hairstyle could completely change how someone looked and felt. But in a traditional town,especially for a man, this wasn’t seen as a “real” career. Adam followed his father’s wishes and got accepted into university. Tuition was paid, plans weremade. But deep down, he knew it wasn’t his path. So he made a quiet but bold choice. He went to the school, asked for a refund, and used that money to move to the city and start something of his own.
He opened his first salon and named it 三月天 (March Sky)
—a name that symbolized a fresh start,like spring after a long winter. It was a huge risk. At first, people didn’t take him seriously. Some even laughed. Others didn’t trust aman to style their hair. But Adam didn’t give up. He started as an apprentice, working longhours—sometimes over 12 hours a day. His hands were full of blisters, and he often thought about quitting.
